The bruising classic metal of Skintilla makes them a good and almost obvious choice as support for former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di'anno. Indeed as vocalist Darren Pretty informed us, the eponymous 'Iron Maiden' album was the first record he ever bought. Having seen Skintilla many times, they have never disappointed and tonight was no exception. Their short and well-received set was drawn largely from last year's excellent 'King Of Kings' album with a few oldies thrown in, notably the bulldozing Trust. Another particular highlight was Fall From Grace, a slow-burning epic in the vein of the late great Ronnie James Dio.
